Sense Europe

A very important period in European history was the Enlightment, one of the reasons of the French Revolution. (You can read more about it in Europedia, in 'Step Europe' Module. The word means there was a 'light' in people's minds. What kind of light was it? Can you explain and compare what people did before and  after the 'Enlightment'?
